Synopsis

 An Iranian teenage girl, has fallen in love with one of the K-pop singers and wants to go to Seoul to meet him and participate in a competition. She is admitted to the exam, but her mother is against her.

DIRECTOR

Ebrahim Amini is an Iranian actor, screenwriter, and director. He was born in 1982 and holds a master's degree in directing. He began his professional career on television. He started his career as the Writer. Writing movies script like as “Trace of blood”, “the story of high noon”, “Lottery”, and “Walnut tree”.

K-POPERis his DEBUT feature film.

Director's note

The constant story of teenagers everywhere in the world; identity. Who am I? This film is a reflection on this question from a new perspective.

Since university to making my first film, K-POPER, working with actors has been my main interest . The process of director and actor collaborating to create a role. Creating a human being. That was my senior thesis. At K-Popper, we tried to discover new worlds with actors, especially teenagers.
