SYNOPSIS
Bastoor, a teenager, wants to go to war with his father in the Iranian-Turanian war. But his father, Zarir, says he is still young and will be killed. Zarir goes to war and bravely defeats the Turanian heroes. Finally, he is killed by the Turanian deception, and Bastoor seeks revenge.

Bio/Filmography:
Born in 1957 in Amol, Mohamad Ali Sajjadi began paintingand calligraphy in second grade of elementary school. Sajjsdimade his first short film, WHO IS THE CLEVEREST OF ALL? , when he was 13. Then he made some 8 mm. films in Free Cinema Workshop. His first amateur 16mm. short film, THE RAIL, was made in 1979. Two years later, he directed his first feature film, THE ROAD, but it took him another three years to enter the professional filmmaking with INVESTIGATION ON A MURDER. An active poet, novelist and director, Sajjadi has written all his films except THE STRIFE. Director's note
Bastour is the only teenager hero of Shahnameh who seems very abandoned, although it is an important story. The first version of this story is available in a book by the name of “ Yadegar Zariran”. A text refers to the Sassanid era which is a religious and ritualistic show.
The Late "Mehrdad Bahar", the great Iranian mythologist, also wrote and published a short story based on this for children and adolescents, and the animation’s based on this story. Of course, by its expansion, I finally reached my own version of this story. Bastour animation’s produced by looking at Iranian paintings and of course my paintings, not with Hollywood patterns or Japanese animes (which values are preserved in their places).
