SYNOPSIS
Mehrdad lives with his mother in an old house. Since he’d a crush on Soodabeh, proposed her by her brother’s suggestion. They got married. At the first night, Soodabeh has a nightmare and claims to have seen an elf and goes into convulsions and Mehrdad is forced to take her to his parent's house. He gets upset. His mother, however, calms him down. This mental conflict continues, and Soodabeh's sinking under a mental crisis. The doctor advices the only way of Soodabeh’s treatment is to leave that house. But the mother is very attached to the house, and her two memories including the lost daughter and husband prevent her from doing so. Mehrdad is struggling in this crisis in the hope of freedom.

Bio/Filmography:
Born in 1957 in Amol, Mohamad Ali Sajjadi began painting and calligraphy in second grade of elementary school. Sajjsdi made his first short film, WHO IS THE CLEVEREST OF ALL? , when he was 13. Then he made some 8 mm. films in Free Cinema Workshop. His first amateur 16mm. Short film, THE RAIL, was made in 1979. Two years later, he directed his first feature film, THE ROAD, but it took him another three years to enter the professional filmmaking with INVESTIGATION ON A MURDER. An active poet, novelist and director, Sajjadi has written all his films except THE STRIFE. Director's note
The script of "Soodabeh" was sent to me by a friend, based on a news item on a site. Since I had previously dealt with this issue in a movie called "Divorce Me for the Cats" (2018) as well as "Jahi and the Poet and Other Issues" Novel and I’d also organized an exhibition of my paintings entitled by "Woman, Pomegranate, Cat", I began to write its script. The film’s been made in the mystery genre with horror sauce, of course; it’s continued toward changing of the rules or creating a new genre. The title of the film is taken from Soodabeh's character of the story of Siyavash in the mythological gest named Ferdowsi Shahnameh, in the story of Siyavash. I also made this story to a movie in 2015.
